Macro "Solar-Aid" program

The macro solar program began in August 2009 with the installation of solar systems on schools and clinics as the priority. In order to ensure longevity, the training of local people to maintain the panels and set up income-generating activities has been a key to a successful first year. Still in its early stages of development, the Kenyan team has installed 30 macro solar systems. In addition, the 'Solar Roller', a mobile education center and solar cinema, raises awareness of renewable energy in rural Kenya .

Scholl-Heuter provided close, professional consultancy to the project in a few fields - Organization
strategy as well as in the development aspects of the project.
